  • This is the first of a two-part series on disparities research focusing on the disparities in obesity people with disabilities experience, potential consequences of those disparities, and efforts to include disability as a diversity factor in federal and community health-promotion programs.

Online Course Underway

Four teams of researchers have been selected from 10 applications to participate in the NCDDR's Web-based course on "Conducting Systematic Reviews of Evidence-Based Disability and Rehabilitation Research."

  • The teams will develop skills needed to conceptualize, prepare, and submit a completed systematic review to the Campbell Collaboration's Disability Subgroup.
  • An orientation session was held on Sept. 10, 2009. Instruction will continue through April 2010.
